THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD!!
This was a multiple stop move as we were bringing my friend's 92 year old mother who lived in York, PA with us to SC. We stressed that we were looking for as little disruption as possible. After numerous conversations with Julia Green and her assurances the company could accommodate our needs, we contracted their services. Our agreement was an 18 wheeler in Concord to be loaded on 7/27, pick up in York on 7/28 and delivery in Conway by 7/31. Now the reality! Arrived in Concord on 7/27 at 11:30 AM with a 24' box truck that only accommodated 1/2 of our load. Had to come back on 7/28. Showed up at almost 2 PM after renting another 24' Budget rental truck. We included in our agreement the transportation of my friend's motorcycle. In addition to no room on the second truck, there would have been no way to load it. Cost us an additional $500 to contract with a motorcycle transport company. Were told our belongs were being driven to New York to be loaded on an 18 wheeler. They never finished packing the second truck until almost midnight. When the truck left, we were on the road to Pennsylvania. The York pick up was delayed until 7/29. When we arrived at this mother's apartment, there was a 24' U-Haul truck being loaded and scheduled to be driven to New York as well. At that point, I foolishly did not call the company to confirm the delivery date. The three of us ended up in a hotel for nine days while multiple phone calls were made regarding delivery. Finally scheduled for August 7th. When they arrived, they had two 24' trucks, not the 18 wheeler we were expecting. We had 2 3/4 24' box trucks loaded and received 1 3/4. They had crammed items in the truck and there was a lot of damage and broken beyond repair furniture and glassware, many of which were antiques. Needless to say, we did not receive a lot of furniture, boxes and my entire wardrobe. Again, multiple calls to the company got us nowhere. It took almost a month to finally get a claim form. In the meantime as we were unpacking, it became clear that what we did receive had been gone through. All of my jewelry, in a non-descript box in a tote that was sealed and loaded in Concord, was gone when I unpacked the box. I wrote and called the company with no acknowledgment. I have filed complaints with the Consumer Protection Agency in Massachusetts and New York and the Federal Department of Transportation. At that point, we started digging more into the Company. The address of the Main Office in Massachusetts is the Boston Public Library. The New York address was confirmed by the New York State Police as non-existent. The Pennsylvania address is a private residence. DO NOT RELY ON ON-LINE REFERENCES! I wish I had personally called some of the references. I would have selected a different company! Not only were we charged almost $4,000 more than the estimate, we are out almost $20,000 in damaged, missing and stolen items that we
