Excellent Move

Searched through many moving companies each with their own bad reviews. I chose Big Sam due to the friendly salesperson Jason. He was very knowledeable and helpful throughout the process. Feeling comfortable with him I took a chance and I'm glad that I did. The move went smoothly I incurred some additional charges for packing some glass items but Jason had explained that it might happen if I didn't get around to packaging the items. I appreciate the honesty and hard work. thanks again.

They were average

They are okay, they are not so quality but they were average guys. The pricing was okay they were asking me for more than the estimate.

Great Movers!!

Great movers! Professional, polite & very hard working! I scheduled for a move from a 2nd floor apartment to a 2 story home. I also needed help in some packing after I hurt my back. I supplied materials for that. They were accommodating to my specific needs. I'd use them again in a heartbeat if I move again.

Great experience

Customer service was AWESOME and he kept in contact with us to ensure that we would be taken care of. The prices are really good and the job the movers did was amazing. They moved quickly, assembled furniture, and didn't break a thing. Recommended a lot.

Guys were waiting for me before start time. Worked hard and move fast took great care of our furniture. Courteous and conscientious. Will use again.

Don't Hire This Company If You Value ...

I found Big Sam Moving to be extremely unprofessional. They were supposed to arrive at 2:00 p.m. today. By 2:30 p.m., with no call or no show, we had to call ourselves to find out they couldn't make it until 4:30 p.m. By 4:45 p.m., with no call and no show, we called and canceled. We were lucky to find a U-haul still open and rented a truck. We loaded it ourselves and will move tomorrow. We were lucky we had a little bit of leeway and were able to help ourselves. DO NOT HIRE THESE MOVERS!!! Very irresponsible, unprofessional, and can really ruin your plans for a day.

It was fine, but the packers didn't ...

It is fine but ... When they are packing my stuff ... They just don't want to pack all those things by themselves, so I had to pack all the things and they just put all those small boxes into big boxes. ...One lampshade got damaged but other things are okay.

Scam company! NEVER HIRE THESE GUYS!!!

Avoid this company at all costs!!! Rude, unprofessional scam artists. I booked this company a month in advance and they showed up on the day of the move demanding TWICE the amount of money we agreed to over the phone. I told them I would pay what we agreed upon, please move what they can in that amount of time and I would move the rest on my own. Instead of getting to work, they got in their truck and left!!! When I spoke with the owner of the company, he said their behavior is perfectly acceptable since I wouldn't pay them the extra money. Do yourself a favor and hire ANYBODY ELSE!!!!! I was left completely stranded one day before my lease expired.

They did everything very well

It was good, they came on time, they did everything very well, I didn't have any issues with the crew members, and they did everything they packed the big furniture like the sofas and stuff, the pricing was good and i would recommend them.

Quick and efficient

It was good. They were pretty quick and efficient. They had a four hour minimum so they charged me for four hours even though it only took them two, which was a little upsetting but it was okay. It was good. They didn't really wrap anything for me. They put the blankets on, that was fine. I received all the services that I requested. I would recommend them. I don't know anybody that is moving though. The crew was fine. They were all good guys. They were on-time. The only thing holding them back was the fact that they had the minimum of time, so I paid them for two extra hours.

Disappointing experience

First of all, they scheduled at 9:00 in the morning. I kept calling them. They did not tell me until it is already 11 or 12 that they can't come at 9:00 in the morning. They said they will come at 1:00. I kept calling them. They said he will come at 2:00. Then they come at 2:15 or 2:30. They came with three guys including the owner of the company. After an hour the other guy quit and went home. After two hours the other guy went home again. So two guys were only working during that time. After they finished loading up, we were going to the my new address. They took a break of 20 to 30 minutes. At 6:00 about three guys came to help them. The contract agreement was for four hours, $400. He said I had a long hallway and five people already came during the moving. He asked me for an additional $100 and a tip. So I gave them $550. I was not so happy. My previous landlord complained about the scratches on the walls, and on the stairs. I didn't notice until it was finished. So my landlord charged me for that. They were not so careful moving my furniture. The whole day my schedule was messed up. When they finished it was almost 8:00. The move was supposed to be for four hours only. If they came on time - at 9 or 10, they would have finished by 1, but it went on until almost 8:00.

horrible experience- nightmare

Please no one should use their service...they are most unprofessional and big liars. in my case, even booking 3 weeks in advace, they never showed up on the day of our moving and kept on making fasle promises through out the day leaving us in a big mess. and after that I tried calling the whole week to complain but they never took my phone call
