CARELESS AND HEARTLESS MOVERS
Please - DO NOT USE these movers! First off - they only sent 2 movers for a 4 bedroom house. We were scheduled for a 2 hour move, because the new place was 3 minutes away. It took them over 3.5 hours, and that is WITH myself, husband and 2 teenage daughters helping. All boxes were clearly labeled, FRAGILE, THIS SIDE UP, ETC - all over the boxes. Every load was taken down the stairs and slammed down the stairs. Large boxes placed on small, so they dropped boxes all over the place. I helped empty the truck and 3 times saw him drop a whole stack of my boxes - with Fragile boxes mixed in! This was my first move since my mom passed away a few month's ago. Me being an only child, I am responsible, not only my mother's heirlooms, but also my grandmother, grandfather, and great grand mother's items. Some items were to be spread to the family and some were for me to keep. They BROKE 8 things! Because it was the first move - I packed everything in packing paper AND for the valuable things, I even wrapped a sweater around each one of them. I know how to pack - I have moved all over the United States with family for work. Not only did they break my heirlooms, including a music box, stained glass that was made by my grand father that has hung in our house for generations, an antique wood carved jewelry box that was my great grandmothers - but they also broke an antique book shelf and my daughter's dresser. Now the dresser wasn't anything special, but the tried to fix it and acted like it was fixed and left. She cant even open the drawers or use it at all. I even tipped them $125 for all the work that they did. The only reason they are getting 1 star is because its the lowest it will go and the one good thing about that move was the young man that was working. He was friendly and helpful, and respectful of our belongings, didn't drop one thing. I emailed the booking company that booked our move and they were upset about the way our things were treated and told me that I needed to call Carlos, that he was a very sweet man and understands that things happen and that he would take care of us. I had my husband call, because there was a bit of a language barrier. So he called and Carlos was very nice to him and said for me to call next time and tell him how much money I wanted for the cost of my items. HE TOLD US TO CHOOSE. I know things happen - I am not a mean person, I am not out to screw any one, but they should be held responsible for the carnage that they wrecked. I told him $200.00 for the cost of the move. - I didn't ask for the gratuity - just the cost of the move. HE HUNG UP ON ME. Just said no - nothing else and hung up on me. NOTHING. How does a person this childish own his own company? I will be posting this same review on YELP, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, what ever needs to happen. Please NO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
