Divine Vanlines

I cannot express the amount of disgust I have for this company. I have never felt so scammed or robbed. This company estimated our move based on a verbal description of items, providing a very low quote estimate and then raised the price considerably on the day of our move after arriving to our home a day late (on 11/25/13) on the eve my family and I were suppose to move across the country. At that point, what choice do we have? And they knew it. In addition to overcharging us on the amount of cubic feet of stuff we had, they also overcharged us $255 in supplies to wrap two flat screen tvs. In their paperwork they say they used 150 feet of bubble wrap and tv boxes. In realty they used approx 20 feet of bubble and duck taped a wardrobe box around the tvs. This company took 3 weeks to move our items (arriving at our home in NJ on 12/15/13). I spoke with Danielle several times who at one point told me her driver was stuck in bad weather in New York and that is why he would be late arriving with our stuff. In realty, this driver hadn't left California yet when she told me this lie. Divine Vanlines wasn't even the company who arrived with our stuff. Another company picked up our stuff from Divine Vanlines in CA and drove it here. We were never informed that they would outsource our move. 5 boxes were missing upon arrival of our belongings. I contacted Divine regarding their claims process and was told by Danielle she would send me forms which I have yet to receive. Danielle and the driver who picked up our belongings in CA called me on 12/23/13 to inquire as to why I was "blasting" them all over the internet. Within 6 minutes of this conversation they began to yell at me and my boyfriend and hung up on us. I am still uncertain as to their claims resolution process or how I can even attempt to gain my belongings back. Whatever you do, do not make the same mistake I did and use this company thinking they are an honest, small business. They are scam artists and will lie repeatedly to you with no hesitation.
