Customs Regulations applicable while shipping to Fiji
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

- Residence Permit
- Customs Baggage Declaration Form (CE 111) must be signed in the presence of a Customs Officer
- Inventory, detailed (PBO - packed by owner, miscellaneous, bedroom, etc. NOT acceptable description)
CUSTOMS REGULATIONS
- CUSTOMER MUST BE IN COUNTRY TO CLEAR SHIPMENT (STORAGE CHARGES INCURRED FOLLOWING A DELAY IN COMPLYING WITH THIS CONDITION ARE FOR THE CUSTOMER'S ACCOUNT)
- Household goods and personal effects may be imported duty-free, in reasonable quantities, for first time residents, provided the items arrive within 12 months of Customer's arrival
- Returning Fiji residents must prove that effects have been owned and used for at least 12 months
- All shipments are inspected by Customs and Quarantine officials
DUTIABLE/RESTRICTED ITEMS
- Alcohol, tobacco and food products
- Boats, engines and trailers
- Personal computers
- Goods intended for trade or business
- Gifts
- Any item that may have had contact with soil (lawn mowers, bikes, golf clubs, gardening tools, etc.) must be clearly marked on the inventory and easily accessible
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Firearms and ammunition
- Weapons
- Drugs
- Agricultural material
- Communications equipment including transceivers
- Pornographic books and magazines
MOTOR VEHICLES
- Severe import restrictions and duty rates apply
- Must contact the Destination Agent for full details before importing
- Steam cleaning required prior to import
- Must have been owned minimum one year to qualify for lower rate of duty
- Additional charges payable for clearance and related formalities
