DO NOT use this Moving Company

I strongly discourage anyone and everyone for using this company. In my moving experience with the firm, I would employer everyone to look for an alternative company. Several of my personal and expensive possessions went "missing" in the move. While I submitted a claim and followed up at least 10 times, the company has not responded. The quote I was provided was nowhere near what the actual moving costs were. By the time I was advised of the price increase and price add ons is was too late to change company's Mover arrived late and the move did not occur on the dates agreed.

Worst movers scam company

Had the company give me an estimate to move a one bedroom apartment to college for my son. They promptly took the deposit and called me a day before the move. No correspondence regarding how long it would take to deliver the goods or that they would charge for steps to move the goods . The local mover came in an enterprise truck very very rude pair of guys. Once they took a the goods I had no idea when they would deliver as it was only 500 miles it took them 7 days. They also wanted me to pay the full balance in CASH or they would not load the goods for delivery. The goods would be delayed if I gave them a check. The goods arrived a week later and there again my son was charged if they had to walk more than 100 feet. Never heard of a company doing this. Never Never use this company.

First (1st.) Class Are Scam Movers ...

These scammers are movers from hell that are to be avoided at all cost. Their sales reps will befriend you on your initial call, tell you that they are family owned and operated, They will look out after your interests. They will be there on the agreed upon day and time. They will put in writing that deliver will be in 1 day. Once they arrive late and get half of your belongings in their truck, that's when the hell begins. Do NOT use First Class Moving and ...

A terrible experience with a terrible rip-off company. Original estimate was $1,500 over the phone by a very rude person named Patrick Kennedy, who refused to take our calls when the estimated price kept going up. His reply in an email when we tried to contact him to question the additional charges: "I'm not on your case anymore. " We encountered rude people every step of the way who told us that our inventory would be delayed for at least three weeks or more unless we paid the additional charges. When we asked what the additional charges were for, some fast-talking "manager" said cubic feet overages (although we never got a number for how many cubic feet that entailed) and the charge for the "shuttle" which originally took our inventory on one truck, offloaded all of it somewhere in Connecticut where it sat for a few days until our latest check cleared. We were never informed of that before it happened. Each time we got another invoice, the price was higher and we could not get a clear answer as to when the inventory would be delivered. The final payment had to be in a postal money order or cash before they would even open the truck to unload. The three guys who showed up here to unload were actually very nice. They hate the company, said they always run into problems when delivering because people were so angry with First Class (definitely the wrong name for this company). Do NOT use this company. Always insist on a moving company that comes to give an estimate rather than making something up on the phone. We learned our lesson.

My story is just like the over stories I have read on this review. One quote which was very close to the cubic feet space on the estimate. But I was told that my furniture

Do not be mislead by positive reviews on this website. As expressed by another commentator, these do not seem like testimonies from actual customers. A summary of my experience: - I spoke to a salesperson Adam Pope who was initially very friendly and helpful. I have a very small studio apartment and after providing him a comprehensive inventory list he quoted me for 300 sq ft of space and threw in a $400 “manager’s discount”. After I paid my deposit I was never able to get in touch with him again and his “direct line” went straight to customer service. - Once the movers arrived for the initial pickup, they informed me that my updated charges would be $3500. My initial quote was for $1100 so you can imagine my surprise. I was told that they actually needed 550 sq ft of space on the truck for all my things (my ENTIRE studio apartment is less than 500 sq foot) and they would charge $70 for each extra 250 sq ft of space. And they also said that there was a shuttle fee, despite them bringing the full tractor trailer. I had also gotten a parking permit from the City of Baltimore beforehand allowing a tractor trailer to park in an alley right next to my apartment. I asked the movers to call the manager and politely told her that there was no way I would pay a shuttle fee when NO SHUTTLE WAS USED. She then dropped this charge. I ended up giving my movers $300 in cash to “fit” all my stuff in the original 300 sq ft of space. The point being, that if everything fit after the bribe, it would have fit before the bribe. - I wanted to narrow down a time for the redelivery and called customer support / logistics every other day for 2 weeks for a date. I was told “Wednesday” again and again, even on Monday afternoon. On Monday night, a logistics representative told me that the delivery was actually going to be Tuesday morning and I would be the first delivery of the day. I was 500 miles away from my delivery location and started driving 2 AM Tuesday morning to reach by morning. The movers did not arrive till after 11 PM that night. I had told the movers and customer service well beforehand that I had gotten a parking permit for the tractor trailer and that they should not bring a shuttle. They brought a shuttle anyways and charged me an extra $600. I objected at first and they aggressively threatened to leave my things in an alley. I am a petite female and arguing with large male movers outside after midnight was escalating into a scary situation so I ended up paying the shuttle fee just so I could get my stuff back and be done with it. - The unprofessionalism of customer service (Chelsea) and the logistics manager (Tina I think) was incredible. Raised voices, condescending tones, and I was hung up on a couple of times. I could not have had a more terrible, stressful, and overall awful moving experience. Highly recommend this moving company.

They call the manager for reminders are helpful, friendly and very easy going. They even called me to see if they could come early and so they did. Made it a better day for all of us. I was only having them move furniture from one place to another and they did it very quickly and very reasonably. I quickly loaded the wardrobe boxes and they helped me reach things. I was amazed by everything they did and how effortless.

Items Stolen

I was quoted $1500 for my move, I asked if this was a flat rate with mo hidden extra fees and was told there are no other fees. On move day I was told that I had to pay an additional $1500 because they used a bigger truck. My items were picked up 3 weeks ago and have yet to receive them. I have been calling multiple times a day every day and no one ever answers. I've emailed and nothing. My furniture (over $5000 worth) have been stolen. Do not use this company!!

So Happy

Confirmed the time the day before. Showed up on time. Guys were pleasant and easy to work with. Charged as they explained they would. All around good experience. We also were paying with a non profit and had some payment complexity on our end. They were very kind and patient while we straightened it out.

Good job

These guys are great! So fast, so efficient and friendly. My only regret is that I only hired them to help me move out rather than using them for my full move. These guys are experts!

Scam

These movers are scam artists. The reviews on this site are not real reviewers.. Look at their Yelp reviews which are real people. Price paid was over twice what was quoted. Buyer beware

I usedFirst Class Moving and Storage twice in the past month, and both experiences were top rate. It was easy to get an appointment with relatively short notice, and they confirmed multiple times, which was reassuring. In the first move, the crew of three (I forget their names) packed and hauled many boxes of books and assorted other things down and back up several flights of stairs on a warm day. I appreciated how cheerful they remained despite all the stress and hard work. The crew was efficient enough to get several heavy pieces of furniture across town within the two hour minimum, which made it surprisingly affordable for such great service. I hope not to need movers again any time soon, I would absolutely call First Class Moving and Storage.

The team is friendly, professional and ...

I moved in with my partner and we used 3 movers. First Class Moving and Storage was the best of the lot. They were awesome: * Very easy to schedule with no deposit required * Confirmed the appointment several times with me * Drivers called half an hour before to confirm the time * Showed up exactly at the right time appointment (this is not common for most movers) * Movers were very fast, they started moving boxes 2 minutes into arriving.

I move again

The team was incredibly easy to deal with and booking the move was no hassle at all. They were really friendly, respectful and unbelievably efficient. The estimate was spot on and not a thing was broken. I would absolutely use these guys again and highly recommend them!

Service was so great.

They were awesome! my movers were super friendly, patient, and best of all, careful! nothing was broken or out of place when I unpacked. They wrapped up all furniture (including my mattress) so it wouldn't get scratched or dirty en route to my new apartment. I also recommended them to my boss, who used them and she raved about them as well. I plan to use First Class Moving

Do not use this company

The reviews on here are probably not real people. I was quoted 1300 for a move which I thought it was an awesome deal. Didnt have a whole lot but this was cheaper than renting a uhual or something. So movers show up and say "u do know theres an extra $600 charge because we brought a smaller truck" ummmmm no!!!! So they did agree to take it off. Then it was another 120 charge for crating which I specifically asked the rep what I needed to do and never was told anything about crating things or that it would cost extra if I didnt do it. Plus they charged another $200 just because I added 5 cubic sq feet (which is basically invisible) but was told I'd get the $200 back if I didnt use that space. I used 301 which was my original quote and that quote was $200 less. Now they're refusing to refund that money. So unless u have unlimited funds to throw away. I suggest not using this company. The movers were friendly and I felt bad 4 them. I'm sure they dont enjoy telling people the price is going to b double what they anticipated. They expect u to follow the binding estimate but they dont follow it themselves.

They were professional, prompt, ...

Though hard to believe, these guys exceed all expectations. Not only are they prompt, professional and courteous movers, they are normal, down to earth, good people. They worked clean, quick and safe and moved our entire apartment in 2 van loads. They put the boxes in the appropriate rooms and even helped me set my bed up. I have nothing but amazing things to say and would not hesitate to recommend their services.

Most wonderful experience with First ...

The crew was on-time, worked fast yet treated everything with care. All my furniture made it to the new house without a scratch and no walls or door casings were nicked during the move. I would definitely use them again.

They were very gentle with our furniture and boxes and somehow managed to fit everything safely and efficiently. They a great job packing everything efficiently and deliver it with no accident. Really impressed and recommend to everyone!

I had an excellent experience with this service! The movers arrived right on time and were very friendly. As a woman alone with the movers for a few hours, I felt very safe and comfortable. My pick up address had a narrow street and the movers had to park down the block, which is very inconvenient but they were extremely easy going and assured me it was not a problem. I am so impressed that the team of 3 movers NEVER SLOWED DOWN!!! I have never seen such continuous hustle and I am seriously very impressed! I would 100% recommend and plan to use them again if I need movers.

We were researching for Moving Company to help us move our 3-bedroom house from the MD to NC. We found a company that offered quite cheap hourly rate but after reading the reviews about the company I decided to hang up on them when I was waiting on the phone to book them in for the job. then I did further research and found First Class Moving and Storage. Their reviews were excellent and I decided to request for a quote. The quote came back competitive and the Customer Service Manager Mr. Holly on the phone was really professional when he called me. So this was a good sign already. The 2 guys who helped us move our unit were very polite and hard-working. We had a lot of furniture for a 3-bedroom house, including outdoor furniture and they loaded the truck way quicker than I ever expected. And they loaded the furniture off the truck even faster. I was surprised when they said that they are finished because I had expected (and budgeted) the move to take at least 2-3 hours longer. The furniture was loaded on the truck and came off the truck undamaged. The guys were really careful when moving the furniture, not to scratch the walls or our new shiny floor tiles in the house. Overall - could not be HAPPIER that we decided to use First Class Moving and Storage for the move. So, if you are looking for someone to do provide you a professional service, including be nice and look after your furniture and belongings, then I definitely encourage you to call First Class Moving and Storage!!!

Very Good Service

I used First Class Moving and Storage for a corporate event move. I could not have asked for a better team! The process from booking to event day was so smooth, confirmation calls were very helpful and left me at ease. Everyone I spoke with on the phone and dealt with in person was great! I will definitely be using them again!

Most wonderful experience

These guys rock! I am extremely pleased with our team that came to pack our truck. The manager and his crew were professional, efficient and treated mine belongs with great care. They even gave me a great price because I was flexible on my dates. Love them!!

Nothing broken

Our move was 2 bedrooms a kitchen and lots of boxes. It was a long distance between houses but the guys worked efficiently and I could not be happier with the finish time. Very professional and great service from start to finish. I would recommend them to anyone.

Great moving service from NJ to IL. They have experienced/ helpful staff, fast relocation, good communication and competitive prices! Efficient with all my boxes and containers and carefull and polite when placing items and moving them around my property. Thank you would definitely use again!

First Class Moving and Storage did a phenomenal job helping us moving today. These guys were on it. Fast, hard workers. I moved my belongings out of my storage. I hired 3 guys.
