IVL did a great job with my move from Houston to Indiana. My rep Justin and the crews all worked hard and did a great job so they get 5 stars from me.

HORRIBLE! DON"T USE THIS COMPANY! 50% ...

Our experience has been poor since the moment we signed the contract. The pickup was a day lae and ran an extra day because the truck provided was too small and the facility was 5 hours away. This caused the buyer to miss their move-in date. Since that time we have been unable to obtain status of our property and its delivery. Our first inquiry was answere "in our warehouse" without being more specific. Despite having requested delivery three weeks in advance we still cannot get status information or find out whether our delivery is exxpected to be on time. The following gobbledegook is the response we received: "I received your request for a delivery update. Please allow up to one week after your pick up to start receiving delivery updates. If you have a future requested delivery date,you will receive updates closer to your requested date. I cannot provide you any updates until the week of your requested delivery date. If your requested delivery date is today,or has since passed,I will have an update for you within 24-48 hours. I assure you I will send you an update by email and phone once I have one." I have also been unable to get an estimate for additional storage charges beyond the 30 days included in the contract,or a statement of when the storage period started and will end relative to pickup and delivery. Horrible horrible horrible.

NO KNOWLEDGE/DONT CARE- YOUR JUST A ...

From being pushy upfront to get it booked, to using a 3rd party to move your items, to speaking limited English and not being able to explain the contract, that was just the beginning. Took 3 weeks for them to load from a warehouse and then an additional week to get it to my location. When arrived, Company Hired Craigslist help to unload. One of the unloaders wore furry flip flops. Very Limited communication throughout this process only when I reached out wondering what the hell is going on. I work in Real Estate and I have never experienced or even heard the lack of customer service and problems that I had with anyone else. I was just a number to them. At the end, I had expensive items damaged and they just referenced the contract. For a 1700 item they would give me no more than approx $25.00 per the .60 cents per pound rule. Based on this it is very little out of there pocket which allows for them to mishandle your items. They have a script and they stick to it. No one really seems to know what is really going on. They just push you to the next or say "Let me look into it" I can only state that alot of their reviews would have to be fake. Mover beware. Larger isn't always better.

Neverending Nightmare Move

We have had an absolutely horrific experience with International Van Lines. We hired them for a move from California to Ecuador in September, and now, in the last days of 2020, we have still not received our property after over THREE MONTHS! They quoted us $9270, and we have paid just under $20,000 so far, 214% more than the quote. The increased price was caused by them botching the move from the beginning and not getting approval from their agents in Ecuador before shipping. And to show you what kind of company they are, instead of apologizing and taking responsibility for their errors, they are threatening to hold all our worldly belongings hostage once they actually get them in their hands. Merry Christmas to you too IVL. Mover beware. There are many legitimate moving companies out there who are not consistently abusive to their customers. Check around the web for real reviews of IVL. They claim to have great reviews and have won awards, but when you really check them out and read peoples' experiences, they treat their customers like crap. They lie, then charge you more, then lie, and charge you more. I'm out $20K and three months without my home, my car and my tools for work. They really have screwed us over big time and we have had to pay lawyers and arbitration on top of it to try to recover our things and make IVL take some sort of responsibility for the damages they have caused us. I'd be happy to furnish documents if anyone questions the validity of any of these claims. You've been informed and warned...

Recommend them

We had a wonderful experience with this team. hey were able to send 6 movers in the afternoon and they got our entire house moved in estimated time. All were polite and courteous. Extremely professional and hard working. I would highly recommend using this company. The office is very responsive and overall the staff is nice to work with. Thank you!

I had such an excellent experience with the team at IVL. I was seriously impressed with the speed at which it all to done, yet everything was done to perfection. The team was unbelievably responsive and helpful with my zillion questions. Thank you!

Excellent team!

These guys were amazing! They were on time and totally fast. They had a huge truck and everything fit no problem. Door to door service and they wrapped everything so nothing would be damaged. Recommend them

Very Professional Service!!

The moving coordinator was wonderful, very friendly, and thorough. I've never moved before and he explained everything to me. The pickup crew was very nice, neat and presentable. They packed up my things really nicely and were a pleasant bunch of guys. I got my items and nothing was broken. I had a scratch on a little table, but it was too little. I had a lot of antiques and was very afraid because they were my great great grandma's, but everything turned out really, really well.

They are THE BEST. They are quick, polite, and strong. I added a gigantic piece of furniture in my move today and they still completed the job under budget and without complaint. I definitely recommend IVL! Excellent.

Great value for the money!

The morning of our move there were a few issues, but the team worked hard to make things right and management was responsive and very easy to work with. All our items arrived in great shape, our floors/walls were not tarnished and the team was very pleasant. Great value for the money!

Very friendly respectful and ...

Not only was this team prompt and professional. He and team made every effort to make the packing from one home to delivery to another go so smoothly and quickly and efficiently. This company and team were ready to work even though It was a very cold winters day! All furniture and boxes arrived in great shape. They maintained a clean environment and kept the floors and carpets clean with runners etc. The use of wardrobe boxes made closet emptying a breeze. Very friendly respectful and hardworking staff.

They were able to move everything in 2 hours somehow, even though I thought it would take at least 3. They never took breaks and took care to ensure my fragile items (TV, etc.) were transported in one piece. They were fast, professional

Had a great experience! They showed up early, were very kind and went above and beyond to help! They worked efficiently and had a great attitude--overall it was highly positive!

The price was fantastic!!

They were keen to get on with it and I was confident enough to leave them to it. Everything was moved safely and without anything going missing or breaking. The price was fantastic- we were on a budget and didn't expect such brilliant service for such a low price! I've recommended them to everyone I know!

I am quite the relocation expert. But never have I seen movers as capable as the ones from International Van Lines. I was just taken by surprise with the efficiency and skills displayed by the four men. The company quoted quite reasonably to begin with. So I was expecting a mediocre moving experience. But the movers who arrived right on the clock were anything but mediocre. They packed up everything very quickly and loaded them onto the van. It took them just 3 hours to pack up my house. I was so sad to leave my hometown. But the men from this company made moving seem like a pleasant experience. I will only hire them from now on.

I have moved many times over the years and this was by far the easiest and most positive experience I have ever had with a moving company. Customer Service was very efficient and accommodating setting up the details. And the three gentleman who were assigned to my move were outstanding - prompt, fast, friendly, very professional. Highly Recommend them!!

First of all, they don't have hidden fees, I mean if they quote a rate you will pay only that price and no extra charges. It is very important for me cause I have my own business and I make unique wooden accessories. I was looking for an affordable state to state mover whom I could turn regularly to get my raw materials delivered. They offered me flat price rate for moving on a long distance so I agreed immediately. Now we are kinda partners.

Scammer

I think all there 5 star rating are fake. International Van lines are scammers. Do not trust them. They will bid your move out. Mine was bid out to Gts Shipping Window Inc. I tried to get insurance for my move, but they just jerk me around. They never return my calls on the insurance or when there was an issue on the delivery date with Gts Shipping Window Inc. When they finally came, they missed the our appointment date and keep my household items hostage. After, I pay for my items my wine collection was stolen, furniture, and items were damage. Guess that was the reason why they didn't want me to get insurance. All and all please so not trust them. They will just find another victim.

Fantastic Movers!!!

We booked with International Van Lines for a small move. The guys were pleasant and hardworking. Furniture was protected well. They also provided us with the free use of wardrobe boxes and mattress covers. This was first time for us using movers and we would definitely use them again in the future. Great service!

Want to be ignored once they have your ...

I am going to limit the length of this review as I fear going into the details of the hassles I’ve had over the weeks will make people not read my review as the length of complaints is overwhelming, but trust me there are many. Their sales team is friendly and professional, they will do everything right to get your business from there it’s all downhill. Your “binding” estimate is worthless as they change it the second you have a single change in your shipment. Are you confident in your ability to estimate your move down to the very last box? You better be because they rely on you to provide an estimate of the shipping load. They also measure in cubic feet which no other mover I can find does. The driver taped off an area of his truck and said that’s what I paid for, you just have to take their word for it. No weight tickets or anything resembling official weights and measures will be used. Surprise, surprise, my estimate went up nearly a $1000 on moving day. They then require your pickup and drop off payment in cash so you have little recourse when they fail to perform. They sent what look like convicted felons to pick up and drop off my shipment, they have no problem dropping expletives and racial slurs around your family, and told me which labor I could and could not tip (i.e. everyone but the black man, coincidence?). They then went well over the verbal estimate of the delivery date they said they would hit, and NOBODY returns calls or emails once they have your shipment. When you do get a hold of someone they can’t give you any information where your stuff is or when it will be there. They finally delivered my stuff late and demanded full payment before unloading the truck, for what I would discover later was an incomplete shipment. The delivery driver rushed all of the items into the house and didn’t complete an inventory as they were doing so, then aggressively pressured me to sign the inventory list stating that I had all my items. I told him that I couldn’t attest to that and he became more insistent, saying “it’s all here” repeatedly in broken English. I insisted on verifying each inventory item, and noticed items missing. At this point, his memory suddenly became clearer and said he “forgot” that he couldn’t take some of my stuff. He was unable to state where it was or when I would receive it. He refused to refund any of the money I gave him due to not delivering the full shipment despite my repeatedly asking him. This was despite the claim that “Your mover can only collect the charges on the percentage of the shipment that was successfully delivered” in the rights and responsibilities packet they provided. The team delivered many battered and torn boxes and turned them upside down for unknown reasons. Boxes marked as fragile were battered and had other boxes stacked on top of them. Items were taped off using yellow tape that leave permanent bright yellow residue behind

The service was very reliable.

The service I received through out my experience was excellent. I was offered a very competitive quote. Although a lot of companies a very silly price for removal. The service was very reliable. Very friendly and professional team. The best part was that they helped me with my stuff in order to move it safely. They moved my stuff from ground floor to third floor without even damaging it.
