Thieves!

Similar complaints as the other reviews here... I got a quote from In and Out Mover who contracted to KLM. I paid a deposit to In and Out and was told I would need a cashiers check at pick-up time. KLM arrived. They took some pictures, more than doubled the price, and would not take the cashiers check made out to In and Out Mover. I was flying the next day, so I signed a different check. Halfway through packing my stuff, the "boss" says I need to also pay the "Interstate Fees" of $500. It was my fault for writing another check to these thieves, but I was stressed and had to get my things moved. Items arrived with big gashes in boxes. Table legs were broken. A wicker chair was ripped. I am missing an almost new toolbox filled with power tools and a bundle containing a 22 rifle. I got no response from calling other than they would look in their warehouse... I prefer to look in their home garage!

Nightmare of a company. DO NOT USE.

This company stole over $3,000 worth of my things. The other things were broken and damaged. They won't return phone calls or follow up. The external claims department has stated if the company provides the paperwork they should have provided, I will be paid $37 for my things. They refuse to find my things, return them, or reimburse me for it. They are the most rude, scamming company I have ever worked with. I am angry and feel incredibly slighted. The company reported they are not responsible for the lost things. The receptionist said "The warehouse is empty, call the driver and ask him where your boxes are," then she hung up on me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Moving Nightmare

I originally contacted InAndOutMover.us as they had good reviews. Unbeknownst to me, they subcontracted the job to KLM. On delivery, there were missing and many broken items. My experience with KLM has been incredibly disappointing. They moved my household goods from Hanford, CA, to Lakeview, Michigan in late July. The items were put into storage until my new home is ready. After going through things in the storage unit, I'm just now realizing how much damage was done. The washer and dryer are now completely useless as the consoles have been separated from the main bodies of the machines. Two, one side of the dryer has a huge gash in it. They somehow "lost" my new Dell computer and a brand new 28" ViewSonic computer monitor in addition to a large restaurant-style utility rack. God only knows what else I'll find. To be fair, the men who packed my belongings in Hanford were thorough, and, I felt did a good job, although I was greeted with the unpleasant surprise extra fee of $1,500.00. Seems that there were more cubic feet than originally planned for. I asked the driver how he knew that, and he relied, "Oh, I measured it." How the heck was I supposed to know if he was telling the truth or not?! The truck must have been at least 26' long, and was already half-full with someone else's goods. I have no idea what happened in the interim time it took during the shipment, but, whatever happened, it wasn't good.

scam and fraud

I was quoted a price of 850.00 for 50 boxes at that time I informed them it would be closer to 70 boxes at 6:30 am they arrived for pick up lead driver put a number on each carton it turned out to be 67 cartons about 150 cubic feet he then told me the estimate was wrong and would be $2929.00 since I was all set to start this trip I had to sign his paper which cost me over $ 2000.00 for 17 boxes he also told me to sign at the top and bottom which ended up to be a waiver of full replacement when they delivered my stuff to ks they were missing 5 boxes that was in February I call they say they will get back to me and never call the beginning of April I send a complaint thru their web site a person named Dave called after a brief conversation he said he would call back never called back in Feb. they had me contact my move about the shortage no answer so it comes down to this company charging me over $2000.00 for 17 cartons which were only 1.5 cubic feet each losing my belongings and refusing to reimburse me I hope the dot does something about these people before they scam more customers

liar, cheaters, unlawful, I plan to ...

First of all, everyone needs to know this number for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA 888-368-7238 and Move Rescue 800-832-1773. Even if you have already written a review, call them. When KLM almost doubled the price after the truck was loaded , the FMCSA call this a "hostage situation" I was talking to the regulators in real time. They can investigate and chances are KLM will be fined, but suing is the only way to get your money back unless they mysteriously start working with you.I am planning my lawsuit now. The regulators said that you have to pay KLM or they can hold your belongings and continue to make exorbitant charges. I had so many bad experiences. They did not move my kayaks which were part of the original estimate and they charged me double .The second payment when they load the truck should be able to be made by credit card, but they insisted on an $8000 Check. . They said over and over that they would get and deliver the kayaks, but they used different lies and never did it. They never intended to complete the contract. My marble dining room table top was wrapped in a blanket. When the blanket was removed, the table had been taped together meaning it was broken before it was loaded on the truck. They wrapped paintings in my oriental rugs and bed skirts. Countless smaller items were broken. I had to ask them to please pack bathroom items. In front of me, they removed the drawers and flipped them over in boxes. They did not take most of my food, They would put things in different boxes. One shoe in one box and one in another. My vacuum cleaner came in 3 different boxes. No boxes were labeled. You are allowed 30 days of free storage, I was remodeling a home. They called me on a Wednesday afternoon saying that if I did not take delivery in 2 days( a week early) that they would not be able to bring my things at 30 days and if I went one day over in storage they would charge me 3 months of storage fees and they did not know when they would be able to bring me my things. My house was not ready to receive my things, but I had to accept in order to get my things back at all. They have lots of different sub contractors. They do not give you paperwork except when they take your things.I have more, but I will save for my lawsuit.

Great Job Guys! Thanks KLM!

Just wanted to say these guys moved me from Cali (I'll miss you!) to Nashville, TN. They did a great job loading, and unloading, and quite frankly even though the price came out a bit more, it was still cheaper than doing it myself in a Uhaul!!

Awful company

I was given a quote for $1500 for KLM Vanline (also know as LS Investment) to move my belonging. When they show up they raise the price to $3000. I did not have any option since it was too late for me to find another mover. I got my belonging a day late. I open my filing cabinet right away since I forgot to take out my money from there, I was hoping it was still there. Unfortunately it was gone. I remember who pack my cabinet so I called the moving company to let them know and the manager (David) was so rude and did not help at all. I would definitely not use this Company again and would NOT recommend to anyone.

This was the biggest scam ever I have ...

Quoted with discount 1800 from Nor Cal 530 area to south WARNING DO NOT GO THROUGH KML What really happened got my dad's wife fired from her job due to the fact it was suppose to cost no more than 3-4000 these guys got tricky. My dad told them the hospital that my mother in law works at fired her because one of the workers wanted 7000 once they were told hospital was paying. So when my dad wife called the hospital and told them the price even though hospital was the one who chose this crappy company they fired. This is a moving company so they were moving to Oregon to start a new life now she has no job do to them. They had to pay 3400 not the 7000. They tried to con them for. As they brought the stuff to Orgeon it was soaking wet due to leaks in the truck and asked for another 700 dlollers dad did not comply then asked for 500 he said no they couldn't even drive down the drive way so my dad had to rent a u haul and pack it back I to the u haul a three bedroom house full of stuff was wet and soaked coaches were poorly wrapped this company does not care or they just threw a big tantrum. I'm a honest man and so is my dad and wife hard workers don't trust these people.

FBI investigation be aware!!!!!!

The worst of the worst. After a small investigation and thanks to some good People I did some home work on this company after thy estimated me $960 to move from Los Angeles ca to Seattle WA Thy ended up trying to charge me $6500!!! taking my belongings hostage over 3 months now! So the FBI is involved and the DOT with the FMCSA and after working with a special agent for over 2 mothers now. We discovered this company used to be Usa relocation who got shut down by the department of transportation almost 2 years ago! I also learned there is a guy name Dagan who is pretending to call him self David or Jonathan. (Fake names) he's real name is Dagan vicemerder ! And he's wife! Name Maria! The company this time is under someone else's name coz thy can't be knowing about those 2 scammers this is a serious fraud and even the good reviews on here are super fake!!! Try to read it and open your eyes and please. Don't be a foolish like I was.. As of now This company basically tried to charge me 3000% over my original qute.. As of now 3 months since September 2nd 2015. Thy stole all my belongings and treating me to sale my belongings in a public auction! Please don't be a foolish!!! And if thy already got you. Call the DOT and file a complaint right away... Hopefully we can shut this bad People down and get them behind bars! After 10 years of ripping people off with multiples company names and fake personal names!!! Be aware. U have been warned!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!! SAVE ...

I have done a couple of cross country moves. This time I only needed to ship a few items because they were family antiques --EVERYTHING BUSTED UP --- completely UNBELIEVABLE. I have shipped household items in the past with another company - I understand things can shift etc and get hurt. This company is an absolute exception !!! I think they played ball with all the furniture --- Dining table -- 2 legs BUSTED OFF and folded in half into the table. Statue in box - packed tightly - and marked FRAGILE --- COMPLETELY BUSTED UP, sewing table -- punched with holes, Computer screen packed tight -- COMPLETELY BUSTED UP. Antiques end table wrapped by me and blanketed by them --- LEGS BUSTED. THESE ARE VALUABLE ANTIQUES FOLKS -- the whole reason for shipping. They have no value now --- PLEASE --- save yourself ! DO NOT use this company --- they should be put out of business !!!

Bad Company

This Company is a fraud and their employees are rude and verbally abusive I have never had to use a moving company before. I went with this one because I got the best quote. I should have known something was wrong when the estimator wouldn't come out and see my home and it's contents. My quote was based off of the items I had left to pack and did not include the boxes I told them I had already packed. The movers knew that there would be very little they would need to pack because I would be doing it myself. When the moving truck arrived the person in charge was extremely rude doubled the price of my original estimate, called me a liar and argued with my husband. They removed items they were told not to take and left items they were supposed to take. Our contract said we had 30 days of free storage. One week after picking up our property the dispatch office called my husband and told him to hurry up and find a place to deliver our property to in WA because they wanted to get rid of it asap. My husband told them he wouldn't even be in WA until the first week of December and would look for a place to put our stuff once he got there. On the day my husband arrived in WA the driver called and said he was there and asked my husband where they were supposed to deliver our property. My husband explained he had just got there and hadn't had time to find someplace. The driver said he would put it in storage and hung up on my husband. Our property is now in an unknown storage location and Carolina, the office manager wont even tell us the name of the storage place or where its even located. She told me my husband was a liar and that they have it in writing that he contacted them and told them where to deliver our property. I have phone records and emails that prove otherwise. Carolina then presumed to make assumptions about my marriage, mocked me, laughed at me and even went so far as to say I had a s**ty relationship with my husband. The person who is supposed to be in charge Jeff, is equally as rude and does not respond to phone calls or emails. In the meantime we are accruing an unknown amount of storage fees at an unknown location until we pay the remainder of the balance owed to KLM. Please DO NOT use this company. They are not even listed with the better business bureau and have complaints filed with bbb. When asked why they were listed with the bbb I was told it's because they have to pay to be listed with them. I don't believe the person who gave me that information, but even if it were true an honest legitimate company shouldn't have trouble paying a fee to be recognized. Barbara McGuire

The most shady moving company we have ...

Ok, I am writing this review for my parents. We sold the family farm in California and they moved to South Carolina for retirement. First of all I do not even know where to begin with this HORROR story. All I can say is that I hope KLM makes this right or there will be a huge lawsuit headed their way. Ok now for the details: 1) KLM did an estimate over the phone. They didn't even send someone out to look at everything. They gave a quoted price that they said was "BINDING". When they showed up to pack the house they ended up bringing two bobtail trucks instead of the long haul trailer that it would be transported in. So they were going to have to load the trucks, then unload them and reload them onto another trailer. The driver was jewish and had a hell of an attitude with us from the very beginning. He then got upset because he said there was a lot more stuff than he was told by dispatch. They came in like a sworm of bees and started packing. Well the one guy did not speak any english and had an attitude with us the entire time. He was packing so fast that we know he didn't pack things correctly. We told them there were things we did not want them to pack yet they packed them anyway. Two bobtail trucks went out the driveway on the 4th of june. We were told that the two trucks would then be consolidated into one trailer that would stop in Texas to drop off the back of the trailer and then go on to South carolina with our stuff. 2) We told them that we would be on site on the 16th and asked of it would be ok to have delivered then or even a bit later. The driver got upset and wanted to be there on the 15th. Dad and I busted our butts to finnish packing the truck and trailer that we were going to be taking with us to south carolina and got on the road on the night of the 12th at 9pm We long haul trucked it night and day until we got there at 2 am on the 15th. I only had until the 27th to be there to help them setup the new house. Seems like a lot of time. Well guess what? We got there on the 15th and the truck had not shown up when we left on the 27th!! 3) During the time that I was there we contacted KLM several times to find out what was going on with the load. We got the run around every time and a different answer. We contacted the driver. BEN and he said that he was on his way. Well after that we contacted dispatch to find out that ben was not our driver and this other guy named alfredo was our driver. We called him and he said he was broke down in Fort worth and was waiting for the truck to get fixed. So we contacted dispatch again to find out what was going on and they again told us that alfredo was not our driver but Ben was! WTH!! These guys have no clue what is going on! Or they were just flat out lying to us on purpose. Finally on the 29th dad gets a call from one of the drivers stating that he will be there on sunday night but would wait until monday to bring the load to the house. $1000s
