Worst movers ever, tons of fake reviews

First of all, do you notice how EVERY SINGLE ONE of the positive reviews are from NJ, where this company happens to be located, and every review not from NJ is terrible? Hmmm. After Most Valuable Moving took beyond the sated time to complete my move, they damaged multiple items and completely lost a live edge table, and damaged my floor. They tried to make me sign a sheet that said they delivered everything and I refused to do so. They did not have a sheet for me to write the damages and lost items down, so I made comments on those items on the manifest (that said they were delivered btw). I didn't list the damage to my floors because I didn't know that they were damaged until the next day. They referred me to CSI for my complaint, and after 6+ months of back and forth they agreed to pay me a measly $250 for my damaged and lost items and refused to pay for the floor because it was not listed on the manifest. I signed the release because I was ready to be done with them. They say they have 45 days to pay you. Well, 45 days came and went and nothing. Turns out they needed ANOTHER form signed but never sent it to me. So I sent that form in and 45 days later, still no check. I call and they give me a run around about why the check hadn't been sent, and that it was in the next batch to go out, in about 2 weeks. Well, a month later and still no check. I have tried calling them for days, but only get voice main, and of course they never return the call. They did actually accidentaly pick up once, and I could hear people talking in the background, so I know they are there and actively ignoring me. In sort, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If you get them through a broker, refuse their service. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU USE THIS COMPANY. They be days late, lie about when they will be there, will lose and break your items, offer you a pittance in return, give you the run around, and never give you your settlement.

TERRIBLE SERVICE

CONSIDER ANOTHER COMPANY and read below carefully. I moved this past weekend, and overall it wasn't terrible but this is a very unprofessional business and was costly and inconvenient. -I had kept all email correspondence, and I researched many companies. This one charged me a binding estimate of $1300 for a 2 bedroom move, 760 cubic feet from Queens to CT (88 miles total). I had inventory that was at least 80 cubic feet under the estimate. -Two days before, I received a phone call stating that the movers wont' come until between 1pm-4pm. I had email correspondence from the employee Christina that I was dealing with that told me 8-12 am with same day deliver. After some argument the next day they confirmed 8-12 am. -They asked for 1/2 the move estimate as deposit. Always beware of companies asking for large sum deposits -When the movers finally came, there were only two, and I had email correspondence confirming 3-4 movers. It took them 4 hours to move into the truck. -The main guy in charge, Raul, came into my house and started complaining immediately at the amount of stuff I had. He said that it would cost me another $300 to move it because I had more that 800 cubic feet, which was simply not true in the end. He also said that they take cash only. I showed him the email from Christina that I could use a money order and then he couldn't say anything else. He also said "Wow, Christina gave you a very low price! You are very lucky!" which I thought was very unprofessional. -Curtis, the younger mover, was pleasant and worked really hard. He did not complain and moved most of the inventory himself. -Once the inventory had been moved, he said in front of myself and my husband and father "I will not charge you extra even though you have more than 800 cubic feet, but give me $200 cash and it will be ok" meaning, give him $200 tip. That was a lot but I was afraid of them losing or damaging my belongings on the truck so I agreed. HORRIBLE customer service and a GIGANTIC SCAM. Go with Mayflower, or Shleppers. You pay more but they are reputable companies.

Run

Stole a gold ring from my deceased father in law from my jewelry box, stole my son's huge Lego collection, family photos, wall pictures, electric lawn mower battery, broke a tool chest, scratched up my dining room floors moving furniture with no pads, delivered the wrong bed frame with our parts of the frame missing, missing TV and wii cables, missing screws to put furniture back together, missing shop tools, damaged all the wooden furniture and the list goes on. Took $7000 for the move and threatened they were not going to pick up all our stuff. We ended up with 3 different loads on 3 different trucks with 10 days in between and unmarked boxes....

Horrific- after 4k in storage-mice ...

I experienced a building fire in NYC and upon leaving did research whereby I could salvage my large art sculptures and ONE Bloomingdale's Chair that due to a spinal condition was perfect. The original contact person Angela was superb on all counts and I went with the company as it shipped by cubic space not weight (would be unable to ship them). I kept them in storage thinking I would eventually return but finally realized I would never be able to. The storage in WA is about half the price and Angela worked as hard as she could to have them reduce my monthly rates. The company which bought them out after a trucking accident (one person died) finally sent me an email when I asked for my goods to be shipped. They charged me a balance and somehow their record keeping did not know I had paid in full and they actually owed me as the delivery was overdue. My complain is re the company that bought out this small family run company. When "Serge" arrived I was dismayed by how people's goods were treated. (I have lived in CA, Boston and overseas and know much about the issues with shipping). I saw one man (needed two mho) high up on a ladder trying to find my crates and having to toss other people's chairs, couches, desks from this height to the ground below. I wish I had taken photos. He needed someone below to pass the goods to. My much anticipated chair-with it's straight back was missing. Of course! A 600 dollar chair just perfect for my back and was per my contract supposed to be padded and wrapped by the company but was not (I had two months to undo my entire apartment and trusted they would honor the contract, otherwise I would have put an old blanket around it to hide it’s quality. As well a low table was damaged (not padded either and broken beyond repair). I know full well it was stolen having witnessed this in NYC with hotels). My original contact had them search as I assumed there would be camera's in the open area storage-not individual units but there was NO security). I did all that was expected on my end of the contract - paying always on time. They did not. The insurance will be a hassle and not worth much, and being a one of a kind chair and rare in shape will never compensate me. But that is not what I now find disgusting about this company. I finally was able to start to un crate the last and largest sculpture. I started to smell a disgusting fecal/urine smell. I wrapped all parts (made to be taken apart in some areas)... with extra plastic yet I realized very fast that there was a mice/rat colony that had inhabited my sculpture for who knows how long! Not only highly dangerous urine + fecal droppings which is supposed to be cleaned up by professionals which I cannot afford (background in the health care fields) but there was a source of food in that facility as evidenced by the beans - pinto! rip off unreliable stolen items

This firm will go down fast. They lie cheat and hold your goods hostage. Expect full inflated payment before delivery. Stole a 2000 bike with no explanation. If yu want to get ripped off call them speak to romi conman. I am pursuing legal action for damages to furniture and unexplained missing and stolen items. I will see this to the end. Warning this is company not to be trusted.

Will be using again!

Our moving experience with Most Valuable Movers was great. The moving team did an outstanding job packing up and delivering into our TN home, easy and efficient. All of the guys on the truck were extremely courteous and polite. They cared and they wanted to get it right. It was amazing to witness an up-scale service, for the price of an average service. I now know that MVM holds the highest standard for services compared to any other moving company. I will definitely recommend this movers to all.

Professional Movers.

Great from the start to finish

Great jobs deserve recognition so I want to take the time to thank Most Valuable Movers for the wonderful job they did with my families move. The service was timely and and very professional. I was impressed with how they crated our TV's and how well they handled our antique furniture. I was worried about damages but turns out there was no need because I got everything delivered safe and sound.

Really Reliable

These guys were great. We recently moved into our house and they took great care in wrapping all our furniture up and taking our boxes. I picked them based on all their reviews because I have heard horror stories from moving but they were professional and I would totally use them again! Really nice guys!

More than Happy

Honestly a very nice job. They came on time, did their job, did not complain and were both nice and professional. I was very pleased an it was the most satisfying moving experience I have yet had. They ask for a specific list of items and I provided them with that. The price never changed. Simply great service. Thank you Most Valuable Movers for such a great move! Keep up the good work.

Worst moving company ever

Had them move a $6000 dining room table, 8 chairs and $4000 buffet hutch. Once delivered hutch legs were broken and missing a $420 chair. Said chair was broken at warehouse and they decided not to even bring it with them. They were late for delivery. And told us too bad. Just pay and then deal with the insurance company and they will take care of it. Six months later they came back with a settlement offer. $12 !!!! We can never sell this table. It only has 7 chairs. To replace the chair would be at least $400 if we could find it again . $12 !!!! For $1000 worth of damage. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY !!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO TAKE OUT MY TEASH !!!!

It was my best experience ever. I have to thank you MVM!!!! you did a great job guys. I was so impressed with the job u have done. The service arrived on time and took all the items very fast and were every careful. When the truck arrived at my new house. The crews were caring my stuff every careful and helpful. You did a great job guys.

Kind of a pain in the butt.

Actually it was kind of a pain in the butt, the ended up getting the inventory wrong and then charged the extra for the stuff that wasn't listed, even though when I told her on the phone what I had, it was all there.

Impressive work!

I was not once disappointed with MVM. They were so wonderful. They were kind and caring, they kept me informed, and they delivered my goods without any problems. I have nothing bad to say about them. I have never been so pleased with a moving company, of all the times that I have had to move. Great work guys, thanks again.

Contact

First mover showed up 3 and 1/2 hours after his scheduled time after changing it in me 3 times. I waitied all day. Then he changed my price by $450, which was stupid because I had the same amount as I was quoted for. I have been trying to get ahold of someone in the company management for a week with no responses. IF anyone answers the phone it's "Oh they're not working today". Absolutely crapypy service. I'm probably going to look for a lawyer and going after this company for fraud.

What a stress-free move!

MVM was the best at helping me move. I have used them four times so far and I can only compliment them. My movers were three extremely kind guys, who came promptly and went straight to work. They were so careful with my things and even helped me set up my furniture at my new place. I did not get extra charged for that.They are friendly, nice and professional. Very polite and accommodating. Moving is a very stressful situation for everyone but all four times my move was like a breeze thanks to these people. I moved six times in total and did not like my first two moves. MVM made it really easy for me and I will recommend them 100%!

We had a fantastic moving experience with MVM. Recently I booked another mover which never showed up. Then my neighbor recommended me this mover’s name and I am glad that I hired this mover. They made an in depth estimate of our moving belongings. They took away all the stress of moving and made it as simple as possible. The moving guys did a seamless move and were very thorough with loading my belongings from the inventory. The sales agent was always on line or over phone to reply my queries. It was a painless process and I will remember this mover for long time.

I moved across the country, from New Jersey to Colorado in like ten days which was way shorter than I thought. I was worried that I won’t get my stuff on time, but they brought everything on time, carefully packed and in good and spacey vans. They were so laid back and down to earth it really amazed me. The charging was completely affordable for me, and in fact I spent less than I planned.

I highly recommend movers at Most Valuable Movers company because I was impressed with how they treated me and how they took great care of my things. I chose this company based on the feedback they had received on the net. Their salesman was really friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. According to the way he talked to me, I knew I had chosen a great company. I had a long distance move and I wanted good movers to do it. I wanted my move to be done by professionals. All my things were carefully packed and the guys took a great care of my furniture, as I mentioned already. Nothing got damaged. They did a great job and I was absolutely satisfied. This team of movers made me feel relaxed. I called many companies, but these guys had the best price. The guys arrived on time and started to work immediately. I was so happy. These guys are awesome! We had a great experience with Most Valuable Movers. Moved from New Jersey to Colorado. Their salesman was so helpful in scheduling our move and providing all of the details that we needed promptly, and even called me at the end of the move (which took few days) to make sure everything went well. The moving crew was excellent. They were on time, very professional, fast, and efficient. My wife was very concerned for her unique earrings not to get lost but we hired a perfect company! I would definitely recommend MVM to everyone who needs a long distance move.

DO NOT USE THIS COMANY

This company was terrible they came three days late when they did come the driver hit a bird feeder off a tree in the yard and he was very close to hitting the tree its self if he has the tree would have fell on to the house. When the movers got out of the truck they we very unprofessional looking. They then proceeded to toss my items around and handle them roughly. When it was time to go inside to get stuff out of the house they walked all over the carpet floor with their dirty wet shoes and tracked water into the house. We had to steam clean the carpet after they left because they stained it. When we finally got our stuff two weeks later the totes were broken boxes crushed and in one plastic container i had items stolen out of it. The movers who delivered my items were very rude, and had an attitude with us. During the whole process of the move pick up and delivery trying to contact anyone was a nightmare and when you leave a message you never hear anything back. Would never recommend them, they should be shut down!

Super Movers!

They are highly experienced in what they do. Our new home just fully furnished and I was afraid that the movers will accidentally scratch the wall. But then it did not happen because they did it quickly yet carefully. The fragile paintings were moved in real quick and they even helped me to put them on the wall. So, thanks for your consideration and thoughtful manner. These guys are very kind! I prefer them not making mistakes unlike other companies that ended up apologizing to us for ruining the stuffs.

My daughter just finished grad school and needed to be relocated from Illinois to Georgia. When I went on the internet there were tons of companies and one of the ones I found was Most valuable movers. I must admit I had my doubts about all the companies I considered but upon researching them I found the reviews by EVERYONE that used this company to be exceptional so I decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed one bit. In all honesty, due to a change in my daughters plans, I ended up not actually having the move performed BUT Most Valiuable had done everything I had asked up to that point and the sales rep,Allan , was so understanding over our last minute cancellation that it was amazing. Not only did he promptly offer to refund the deposit I had paid but stated he was there to help us in ANY way possible now or in the future. The efforts Allan made to provide very competitive pricing in a timely manner and his courtesy and understanding thru the entire process was very refreshing.

Good Job

We had to move to Alabama after my father got a promotion there. Our moving from New Jersey to the south was done with the helpful hands of the movers from MVM. In two weeks our furniture, boxes with utensils, gadgets and everything else was moved safely. My parents didn’t worry over the charging, because we have already heard that they are really affordable. For this big move we paid reasonable price, I would even say affordable. I recommend them.

Excellent service at an excellent price! I moved from New Jersey to Indiana and enjoyed every single step with Most Valuable Movers! I did my research before my first move that involved a moving crew and I must say I chose the right crew. When I called their office they gave me a quote and I was explained all the terms and everything I was interested in. They were very helpful and kind. On the day before the move, I was sent reminders by an email, and they also checked up during the move to make sure everything was going well. I worked with three movers who were extremely nice, polite and professional. They were super careful with my furniture and decorations, so at the end nothing was broken, nothing got damaged. The price was excellent, so I even saved some money. All in all, I loved working with these guys! Because of them, everything went smoothly and I will highly recommend them to everyone who needs a move!

Most Valuable Movers is truly an outstanding company deserving of its 5 star status. My reservation specialist was extremely articulate, honest and his communication skills superb. Pete was very respectful, educating me on how to be a better consumer of moving services including the U.S. DOT website and other review sites. I highly recommend using MVM

Most Valuable Movers is the moving company for me. The foreman and his team members were courteous and well mannered. The services they rendered were such that I did not have to regret any aspect of the move. The guys were cultured and respectable. I must say that the service they rendered was worth the money I paid. They made everything about my move easy from the packing of the stuff through the moving to the unloading of the stuff.

Excellent Move

If I just thank them then that won’t be enough for them after what they did for me during my move. These movers were simply terrific. They knew what they were up against. They had the complete plan for the move. They arrived on time, carefully wrapped and boxed everything and moved at the new place in no time.
