We have moved many times, we have used many van lines, brokers, local moving companies, etc. But thanks to our son we found Movers On Duty and it was a blessing. From the first contact to when everything was delivered 3 days later, there is nothing negative I could say only that I wish I would have known about this company years ago. Gabriel and his team are just incredible people, helping people with a great attitude and expertise that shows. Every single guy was professional, nice, and super quick. These guys are pros for a reason. Good job!

Fantastic Moving Service

I used Movers on Duty to make an intrastate move after researching many alternatives. I am very happy that I chose Movers on Duty. Gabriel was easy to work with for scheduling and on moving day, Delmar called to let me know he and his crew were on the way. Unfortunately, weather interrupted our plans, but Movers on Duty worked with me to get the job done despite the inclement weather. Their pricing was outstandingly competitive and there were no hidden fees or "add ons" after the fact. I would definitely use Movers on Duty again and recommend them to anyone looking for a no hassle moving experience.

Exceptional Service

They were all truly exceptional. They made my super stressful move into a smooth and pleasant experience. I mean,from the very first conversation I had with Gabriel,I knew I had found the right moving company. He was so informative and helpful. They were punctual and gave me a heads up a few minutes before they arrived. They were super careful with the incredible volume of stuff I had. They were not only so fast but also patient and even helped bring some of my things down to my car. They had an efficient way to bring everything down from a third floor without disrupting the neighbors in my building. They wrapped and protected my mattresses and furniture. I highly recommend and will definitely call them for my next move.

Our movers and packers showed up on time and got right to work. They were careful with our belongings and listened to our requests. Dalmar was a great team leader making the move organized and efficient. I would highly recommend!

Horrible

This moving company is the absolute worst. I chose this moving company because of the previous reviews. However, I can only speak for my experience. All I know is they packed liquids in with my books and other valuables that spilled in the boxes . Not to mention they are thieves. I found out that they drank one of my beers and they stole my moving boxes and tape that I had purchased that I had never opened. Not to mention, my dining room table now wobbles ever since they delivered it. If you decide to choose this company, do it at your own risk.

Moving from DC to NY

Movers On Duty made my move from DC to NY easy! It all happened in 1 day, I always knew where my stuff was, the guys were incredibly punctual and respectful. Love these movers!

The movers and the company itself was very helpful with my move and made it easy for me. I have had bad experience with other companys but with Movers on Duty no complaints !

Definitely Would Use Again

They loaded our Uhaul truck much better than we ever could. Then they followed us to Newport News and unloaded us. They told us it would take 3-4 hours and it took 4 and a half because the stairs into our basement were difficult and we had to take the railing down. We would definitely use this moving company again.

Honest

This is a fantastic concept. Service was very cooperative with respect to timing. There were excellent movers. I have already told many people about you guys. We were very satisfied with the level of service we received. Everybody was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you for providing us with an easy and honest move.

Helped Us Out BIGTIME

We were stuck by our original moving company by 3 days and contacted Movers on Duty to see if they could get us picked up this weekend. Friday I spoke with Gabe and he promised me he would have us out by Sunday at the latest. Saturday evening at 8 pm the driver called and said they were 4 hours away and would be there by 7 am Sunday morning. 6:30 Sunday morning the truck was outside of the house and they started loading at 6:45 and finished by 11:oo am. They were fast efficient polite and by all means professional. They called us up this morning and told me they would be delivering my belongings in AR on Wednesday. These guys are awesome and did what they said. I will post again once the move is completed. We WILL recommend them to everyone we know that is to be moving.

Will use and recommend

My wife and I lived in Catonsville, Maryland for the last 35 years and recently retired to Sanibel, Florida on January 26th 2008. We hired Movers on Duty for our move after checking them out with the better business bureau along with movereviews.com and they did everything as promised and considering the fact that we are not wealthy people and are retired with no income other than social security and savings they matched our budget and came out where we needed to be. We recommend them and this is the first of many reviews we will write about them on several websites along with a letter we wrote and mailed to them. They will be hearing from us and anyone that we know to be moving in the future.
