Hi Ron, and thank you for your question!
Self-storage
Unfortunately, we're not sure if there's anything you can do to be compensated under these circumstances. The main reason most storage facilities -- and moving companies -- offer insurance packages is to cover unforeseen events. Damage due to a water leak in the facility falls under this category.
One thing you can do is consult your homeowners insurance company to see if they cover the damage. Moving companies and storage facilities often require customers to have their items insured for reasons like this. Although, since this storage facility offers its own insurance, we're not sure your items qualify. Our suggestion would definitely be to check with your insurance provider to see if your homeowners policy covers it.
Thanks again for your question, and we hope everything works out!
